Rome makes the heart beat faster

Okay so I'll admit, the Rome airports kinda shabby. But once you get outside, its all very beautiful in a weird grungy kind of way. This nice Italian guy named Jacomo picked us up, helped us girls with our bags and took us to our apartment. My dad says he ran some stop signs, but what can you expect in Italy? One of the amazing things about being here is that you have the new stuck right in with the old. We exited the freeway on an offramp which looked alot like something in California, but there was this reeeally old house in the middle of it, completely in ruins. Its amazing to be somwhere with so much history, and where so many great people have walked. We finally got to the street where we'll be living for a week, and it was completely dark, a little sketchy looking, but once we got inside it looked even better than the pictures we'd seen on the web! Alessandro helped us get situated, another nice guy. Oh and some dude named Fabio owns this apartment.. hahah ;p Its now 9am here and I'm drinking homemade espresso :) Todays agenda doesnt have much going for it, we're just going to wander around and probably hit the Vatican (*scream!!!!*) So hopefully I'll have some pictures later to stick up here :) Hows life for you guys? We miss you already!
